Wales Qualify for the 2022 World Cup

We’re only just catching our breath after a hectic few weeks working with the Football Association of Wales on a run of home international matches, with the obvious highlight of Wales qualifying for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar!

Arena Projects once again provided matchday management, event production, in-bowl and fan entertainment, visiting team logistics and kit services across 5 games in 2 weeks. As well as 3 men’s senior matches against Ukraine, Netherlands and Belgium at Cardiff City Stadium, there was also 2 Wales Under 21s internationals at Parc Y Scarlets in Llanelli, against Netherlands and Gibraltar.

We also got to continue our work with legendry Welsh folk musician Dafydd Iwan, who created 2 huge moments performing the Red Wall anthem Yma O Hyd before the huge World Cup Playoff match against Ukraine, as well as joining the team on the pitch to celebrate after the win. We’re pleased to be able to coordinate these performances from Dafydd Iwan, which have caught the attention of the national media, and created a huge moment for Welsh culture and our language.

As ever Arena Projects are proud to work with the Football Association of Wales across their various national squads. It’s a true honour to be able to support our country through our work. Diolch FAW!
